anyone ever hear of a tournament in louisville, ky, i believe its called the kentucky derby,if so where can i get infoe

It usually goes April through June.  I think my buddy and I cashed in doubles last year for a whopping $20 despite me bowling poorly.

thanks ive been looking for a tourney other then the ozarks for a weekend getaway, thats not to terribly  far from the st, louis area

Pretty good tournament, pretty cheap to enter, but they have side pots, brackets, all that good stuff.  The shot isn't a super easy wall, but it's also not a sport pattern.  Carry can be pretty tough in this house, though.  Some days you just can't get the 10 pin out no matter what you do.

I did it last year for the first time and it's a pretty good tourney. The pattern is pretty hard but it's fun. I didn't do very well last year, most of my balls were too strong because the pattern was short. Definitely plan on going there again this year. Just make sure that you make hotel reservations about a month or so in advance expecially if you're going in June becasue they get booked very quickly. Alot of people are normally travelling to the city for either the tournament, the horse races or Six Flags.
