I picked up the 7-10 split on Thursday night.  This was my first time.  I was more excited about getting that spare than I was when I bowled my first 300.

Nice pickup.

I would have been more excited about the 300 though.  That's just me.

The 7-10 split conversion is much rarer than a 300 so you had every right to be more excited about it than your first 300.

Good point.  I guess I've just accepted that I'll never make one.

I thought the same thing.  I threw a good first ball and did not deserve the pocket 7-10.  but picked up my spare ball and said out loud I have always wanted a patch for picking this up and threw at the 10 and it bounced out the back and slid across the pin deck just with the top of the pin and kicked out the 7.  It was awesome.
