800!!!

Finally pulled off the elusive 800 after coming so close so many times. (789, 791, 797) i finally shot an 804 tonight in league play, im so excited. the games were 279, 267, 258!!! I just cannot believe it!!

I remember my first 800 (801), and I remember in practice, it kind of felt that it was going to be a bad night.  You  just never know when it will happen.  Congrats!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! Nice set. Closest so far is 770 here---225-245-300. And to tell the truth I was sick as a dog can ever get---lol. Had called a buddy to sub as I had the flu. He calls me 1 1/2 hours before shift and says that he had been called in to work. So I'm bowling with a 103* fever. Throw a shot and lay down on the bench seating. Another friend comes over and says in third game" Doing pretty well I see---got the first eight" All i want to do is crawl into bed and sleep. Finished out and didn't get home till 0200 with all the free drinks----lol.

Congratulations!! Nice shooting. I just had my 2nd 8 the night before(801). It'd been 8 years since my previous one. I was really nervous on the critical shot, how 'bout you?

Great job bowlr804- what ball(s) were you using to accomplish this feat? Did you feel any nervousness going into the tenth- and if so how did you put it out of your mind to accomplish this feat?

well to clarify, the ball i was using was the Track PBA Tour Racing Ball (for those who havent heard of it, it was a ball not in that big of a production sponsored by #88 Terry Cook in Craftsman Trucks) the line i played was around 15 to about 5-6 and the ball just absolutely killed the pocket. i got very nervous because i knew how close i was and everybody and the house was watching especially since i am a junior bowler. and i just realy blocked it out and just threw my spare and strike for that elusive 8. Im still just as excited today!
