Do any of you.....
« on: January 24, 2004, 04:13:17 AM »
Have a team kitty that you put money into every week?? The money that goes in is based on your performance or non-performance on the lane. Here is how ours works:

Missed spare - dime
Get Hung - quarter
Three Strikes - Everyone pays a quarter
Every Strike after 3 - additional quarter for everyone
Gutterball on first ball of frame - a dollar

Do you guys do this as well?? Its fun, we split the money at the end of the year and get it all back. What are the payouts you guys use??

well ours goes like this

First we play cards as everyone probably does.(1.00 a gm)
   Missed spare(10cents)
   Missed single pin(35cents)
   Hung(50cents)
   Split(10cents)
   Leaving 5 pin(10cents)

Some nites i wish i wouldve just stayed home. Depending on what kind of nite your having it could get costly. But its all good fun.

Yeah, I am not the worst bowler on our team so he usually  has to put up about $10 a night. I also made a mistake, we pay .50 cents for hanging.

Yeah its possible for one of us to pay 1.05 in one frame.
      Get hung 50
    Leave 5 pin 10
    Miss spare 10
    Miss single pin 35
  -----------------------
All adds up to 1.05 per frame possible.

We play cards.  It cost's $1 to get in.  Draw one card per mark, two for a double, one for a split conversion.  You can only have 5 cards in your hand at any one time.  We also have a $1 high game pot.

our team used put in a quarter every time you didn't bowl your average.  At teh end of the year we would go out to dinner and if by chance there wasn't enough money we split the difference.

We have a running skins game with strikes. Everyone puts in $3 at the beginning of the night. Each frame is worth $ .50. If one player gets a strike, they win the pot, if no strikes or 2 strikes appear in the frame, there is a carryover. We carry over until the 10th frame of the 3rd game- then if more than one player strikes the pot gets split based on the people that strike in that last frame. Sometimes the pots get over $10 due to all the carryovers.

We play poker and have the "Miss Money" pot.

Poker is $1.00 a game, and a card can be drawn for a spare or strike.  If you start stringing strikes you can take two cards until the strike-string is broken.  High hand wins.

The Miss Money is el-cheapo, but we like it that way

On a 5-woman team, if we all mark, everyone chips in a dime.

If 4 mark and one has an open, that person chips in a dime.

If all 5 strike, up the ante to a quarter per person.

If 4 strike and the other one spares, only that person pays a quarter and everyone else chips in dimes.

If 4 strike and the other one opens, only that person pays a quarter.

Miss your average -- chip in another dime.

We split the money 5 ways at the end of the year.  Usually each person gets back around $30.00.  I haven't figured out if it's from good bowling or BAD bowling
