811c/t vs. ratchet which one
« on: March 11, 2013, 08:08:43 PM »
Looking for a ball to fit in between my nail smoke and fire and taboo deep purple. I use to have a brick but I sold it because it was 14 pound ball. Just wondering what everyone's opinion was

The Ratchet, for me, is a stronger backend ball than the Brick. I got to throw a friend's for a comparison, and my Ratchet was about 4 boards stronger, with a pin down drilling and a 5" pin-pap. I would suggest the 811 C/T if you're looking for controllable strength, but if you want a good backend pop, Ratchet.

This ball will be my go to ball when my taboo starts hooking to early. I'm a cranker with average ball speed and high rev rate. I am so looking at a few solids like the marauder madness and storm reign of power. I'm just lost with the large selection of balls in this performance level I don't know what to get.

I'm going to venture out and say that the Arson series is probably better to look at. When things start to go with the Deep Purple, you're probably going to want to ball down a little further than a Ratchet.

Average speed is kind of a misnomer, as there's really no true average. I'm going to guess you're throwing 15 lb.s at probably 15-16 mph? Maybe a little less?

I would also suggest looking at Seismic's lineup. They're not as well known as the other brands, but I've been throwing the Dominion and Blackout for a couple weeks now, and shown amazing results with them.

The Blackout would probably be good for you, as it seems you're rev dominant. Gets downlane and makes a smooth transition, no heavy jump. but baring Seismic, I'll stand by saying Arson line. Probably the Arson Hybrid if anything. It'd give you more control.

With more actual specific information IE: Rev, speed, normal oil bowled on... I'm shooting in the dark for ya.

If you're willing to look elsewhere, i'd take a hard look at the Judgement. I find it to be a great step down from my deep purple when I need a few extra feet downlane and a little more control. Both are layed out very similarly, with the Deep Purple at 2k grit and the Judgement is OOB. With the light particle pearl load, the control is nice to have.

I've looked at the lord field balls but have no Idea where to get the judgement

The 811 and Ratchet will both be too close to your Taboo to really fit in between them.  Storm's Road line would actually fit really well.  Maybe the Motiv Sigma Tour.  If you're wanting to stay with Track or Hammer, try the 500 series from Track, or the Arson series from Hammer.  I've been really impressed with my wife's Arson Hybrid.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
