9 PIN
« on: January 04, 2006, 11:14:48 PM »
Recently I switched from a 15lb Phenom Unleashed and went with a 14lb Delta 1.  I seem to carry the corners better, however I noticed I am leaving a lot more 9 pins.  Why is this?

Thanks

Eric

It might be because the ball is coming into the pocket with too extreme of angle and hooks past the nine pin.  Thats just a guess tough because thats when I leave alot of nine pins when I come in too flush.

The Delta has much more backend, and thus more angle when its hits the pins....all balls with big backends for me have a tendency to leave 9s as they just either drive a tisker too hard, or you are high, but where other balls pushed backed and knocked out the 9, a ball like the Delta does not do that.

I think angle comes into play, but the real creator of this is drive!

The 9 is the 4th pin the ball should hit....if it doesn't ...it's driving past it!

Oooink you threw too good of a ball!
