they won't drop $20-$50 for brackets and a chance for some cash...??? They are most likely the same people who buys more balls a year than they bowl tournaments.

I'm in norcal, if you are close, PM and maybe you and I go $20 a game?

Tough guy alert!   :P

As to the thread:

I'm a bracket/jackpot/eliminator bowler, "Mr. 220" I believe jls calls it......, and I do participate in the gambling.  That being said, I really do, ultimately and in my bones, care about team first.  I participate b/c I care about team results AND I care about the "action".  I enjoy action.  All of the money I gamble with is a separate bankroll (that has strict rules, thus it still exists), so win/lose I don't feel it as much.  I do share the OP's sentiment in that it's only $20-$50, if that's a lot to someone.......well......I don't know what to say other than that's unfortunate.  If they're constantly buying new balls (their right), it's just a simple lolololololol from me and I move on, I'm not going to pile on.  I am a long-term winner but I am mindful of those that are donating and the reasons why they make plays (including NOT GAMBLING) that yield them what they thing is the best opportunity and can give them the greatest expectation.  I can't say it doesn't give off a chump"ish" vibe in practice though.

At the end of the day, win or lose, I'm alive and in the game.  :)  :)  :)

What else can one ask for?

I'm just thankful that my opinion is probably the popular one, and we can get action up.    ;D

No one need justify their spending to me, but ^^^ is MY PERSONAL approach.

GTGT your name is true lol

lol Not trying to be tough guy, or be an ass... I just want some comp with $$ as a reward, or not..... guys at leagues don't want to "gamble"... looking for some action on here....

I bowled with a HOF in leagues in the past and before he joined us, I had some action (scratch) going with at least 15 to 20 guys a week. But when he bowled with us and got in, it dropped down to 6 bowlers.... I got some money from him, a legend, a hall of famer with my lower level skills and my $45 (sale) ball lol.... It wasn't much per game, but guys didn't want to bowl with him around. Yet, they put up scores that beat this HOF. HOF average 245-250 lol

If you are looking for some action bowling in NorCal send a message to AmericanDream Development on FB, they have bowlers that will bowl against you for pretty much any amount you want to. There is also a Battle of the Bay Scratch singles tournament with 8K guaranteed for 1st coming up, I'm sure you can find plenty of side action there as well

Yeah, I know some of the guys that are associated with these guys I see on the ADD FB. I'm Getting back into the bowling scene, I'm pretty sure I'll see some of these guys next month at 4th street.  It'll be my first time there since Tony Reyes passed away.....
