Below is a message in a thread on bowl.com. I haven't heard any other news on it and there's only a few posts made to the thread. Has anyone else heard anything? Congrats to the guy.

Hello,
I got lucky last night and shot a 900 series. I bowl in a small center in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. As you would guess, neither I nor the center have dealt with anything like this before. My question regards what needs to be done to sanction this series. I remember long ago the USBC (then ABC) would require the center to shut down the pair on which an honor score was shot, until someone could come out and verify the lanes, pins, etc. I know now that this is not done for regular honor scores like 300 and 800, simply because of the huge increase in the amount of these ypes of scores being shot. My woryy is that there might be some special sanctioning rules for something as rare as 900. I shot this on a Friday night, and apparently we won't be able to contact USBC for information until Monday. The proprietor says he thinks that they are now sanctioned for the entire year, so there's nothing special that needs to be done. He also said it would seem unrealistic to require that he shut down that pair of lanes for a week or so until someone could inspect the lanes and pins. It's only a 12 lane house, so I agree that shutting down 16% of his lanes seems pretty drastic. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what happens next? I don't want to lose this once-in-a-lifetime event, simply because the lanes were used, and most likely oiled, before someone from USBC could verify the conditions were legit.
Please let me know anything that might help clear this up. Feel free to email me directly at akersproshop@yahoo.com.
Thank you,
Chris Aker
