is there any exercises that will allow you to keep your eyes focus on the on the ground (i.e arrows, dots) instead of looking up to quick and end up looking at the ball hitting the pins?

I dont think there are any exercises, you have to come up with them yourself. Looking at the ground is something I've always done, similar to the Big Nasty

No real exercise I know of other than practice, practice, practice. Your mindset needs to be throw at the target and the breakpoint, NOT throw at the pocket. If you think about it that way and worry about the ball motion, not the actual attempt to throw a strike, you should start to find it easier to focus.

I know the only way I was able to finally break that habbit was to pick a point on the lanes arrow, dot, light/dark board that stood out and just worried about hitting it over and over regarless of the ball reaction or where it went. I got to the point that I would keep my eye on the point untill the ball hit pocket then I would look up.

so focusing more at any particular part on the lane( arrows, dots, boards) will allow one to better see the ball's motion?

Wear a baseball hat very low over the eyes ... so low that it makes you crane your neck up to see the pins.
You will definitely know when you are looking up, and can work on it.

There were a couple of guys the other night who had created a curtain of sorts that is low enough that you can't see the pins but will allow the ball under it. Then he had a piece of string hanging down of his mark so that it would move when he hit his mark.
