League Champion

How does your league determine the league champion?
I'm looking to make things more interesting this year.
Same teams always win or are in the roll off.
Right now we have 2 halves with the winners in a 3 game roll off, total pins win. If same team wins both halves no roll off. No fun.

Thanks in advance!

My summer PBAx league is straight up wins and losses..

My fall league uses a trimester system.  The three winners (plus a wildcard) make up the playoff system.  If a team wins two of the three sessions, then the have a bye into the finals.  If a team wins all three, then they get all of the rolloff $$...

Best overall record without winning a trimester

Most leagues I have bowled in had halves. A roll off would occur if different teams won each. No roll off if the same team won.

My scratch classic league has 3 rounds. Each round has a payout at the end of the year by position. Then there is also a payout based on total wins for the year, with the league champion determined by total wins over the 3 rounds.

About half the leagues here use a split season, the others don't.  Standard 4-point system, one point for each team game, one point for total pins.  No divisions or anything like that.

35 total weeks (2 16 week halves and 3 weeks of playoffs)
16 teams divided up into 4 divisions (this year we are supposed to have 20 teams in 4 divisions)

4 division winners each half so 8 teams make the playoffs. If a team wins both halves they get a bye the 1st round of the playoffs and the team with the most points for the year that didn't win a half becomes a wild card team.

My travel league uses a points system. Each game has 5 individual points and 4 for total. 35 points available in a match 3 points for overall total. Most points at the end of the season wins.

The league I'm in does it straight up points.  But we play a bowler vs. bowler along with team vs. team.  The team win is 2 points and the individual point is 1 for a possible 7 points pre game and and 5 for team total.

The other league is like NASCAR you bowl against the whole league every team gets some kind of points just for bowling.  Then it's broken down into individual games and people.  your team wins they get 5 point and 10 for total pins. Then the person with the highest game for that games also gets 5 points for the team, and same with the series for 10 more.  The same thing done with team scores 10 and 20 points. Then all the point won are added on to the total handicap pins, for your standing points.  This is done with both handicap and scratch.
