Yes, since both deliveries are with the same dominate hand, the bowler did not change
delivery and, therefore, is not in violation of any USBC rules.

So, it's not ok to put yourself at a disadvantage and throw between your legs, but it is ok for a two handed player to throw one handed at a spare?  Seems like both are changing their "normal" delivery, and should both be deemed illegal shots

Based on their own definitions, it does seem that they both should be illegal.

However, a 2 hander switching to a (probably) straighter 1 handed shot is probably increasing his chance at making a spare, providing he is trying.  The same can't be said for someone throwing between his legs.  There might be a handful of guys who are decent at it, but not many who are more accurate than their normal delivery.

The key issue is when you bowl between your legs you are using BOTH hands to release the ball.  If your normal release is with ONE hand, then this method is ILLEGAL.

If you throw the ball TWO-HANDED (ala Belmonte) your are using ONE hand to release the ball.  Thus if you use ONE hand to shoot at spares then it is LEGAL.
