Same thing that happens when a left hander throws a right hander's ball.

It really depends on the ball, core, layout, etc.  Normally I would think that the ball would work against the hook you'd be trying to put on the ball.  Considering that 80% of a ball's reaction comes from the coverstock, it would still hook...just not very well.

If the ball is drilled with the pin and cg in line with the centerline (and there is not a weight hole), the ball would work equally well for both left and right handers (with the exception of the fingerholes being set up for the other hand).

Fingers hurting, because of span and pitches.
On the lane, probabyl nothing spectacular. Reversed flare, poor hook and finish, bad carry.
Not a smart move.

I read about this in Science Today..

They said something about Armageddon, and a ribbon of time opening up with horseman slaying innocent people.

I wouldn't try it.

That immediately made me think of this classic exchange:

It would be bad.
I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Total protonic reversal.
Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.

You mean an LRS, a lefty-righty singularity? Yes, dangerous thing, esp. with this inverted CG placement against the intended spinning axis. The world as we know it might be at stakes! But on a lane with 5 extra boards (Lane #1 WAS right all theway), it might work...?

Left handed here I can throw right handed balls and get proper flare and sweet reaction most of the time. I threw a track rising that was right handed and that ball flared over all the finger and thumb holes. Still had a descent reaction just heard thump thump thump

Don't think about it as lefty or righty. Think about it in terms of how far the pin and CG or MB is away from your PAP.

If the lefty in question has, say, the pin over the middle finger and CG kicked out, if your PAP is something like 4 1/2 over, this is nothing more than a 5x6 drill or something like that. Very mild.

Now, if the pin is an inch or two left of the middle -- which for a lefty might be a very strong leverage or pin-axis drilling -- it could place the pin too far away from your PAP and you might end up with inverted flare.

Jess is exactly correct!

I have an Awesome Finish drilled for a lefty, simple label leverage. I use it all the time, as is on a dryish, light oil shot.

It gives me great lenght, delaying the hook until the last 10-15 feet of the lanes. Ball still hooks with the best of them!

This is what I was wondering about. I have a very hard time on the Dry. With my high track I wondered how far I could take a lay out. I would like to try something like this.
