the house im bowling leagues at this year has never had what i call crisp backends. if anything id call them decent. the house shot is 40 feet in lenght, as of a month ago there were 90 units at 20 board, and get this-on board 5 at 40 feet there were 7 units of oil. the shot is great at the start, but once the transition hits its nasty. since i have a high rev rate, its hard for me to handle the transition cause the heavier oil volume plus mild backends mean most bowlers try to use the virtuals and mega frictions, so i either have to chase the shot in with a pearl, or go to my eraser and stay outside. with the amount of oil at 5, swinging the ball just isnt a very good option because one ball will hook, then the next wont. also, here in the past month ive seen more pins sliding on the pin deck than i ever have, twice in the last two weeks ive hit a flush pocket shot only to watch the 10 pin slide over to where the 8 pin sits! i had a hit last night where a pin kicked off the left side, slapped what i thought was gonna be a trip 4, only to have the 4 pin slide to the 5 pin spot. what is this? are the lane guys not properly stripping, or worse just dont care? the scores are low in general, only one guy in the whole house averages 220, a guy who averaged over 230 last year and bowls regionals here in the south is only averaging 2teen. what gives? base on my stats in my profile, how would some of you attack what ive described?
