Buyers backing out of sales
« on: February 06, 2006, 11:12:44 PM »
I know I am not the only one on this board who is sick and tired of people saying they want a ball that is for sale and then coming up later and backing out of the deal for one reason or another. They may have a legit excuse or not, but what about the seller who could have sold the ball while waiting for the so called buyer to come thru on the deal.

I have listed my last ball for sale on this board. I will go with ebay and pay the fees and be done with it. A man is judge by his word in my eyes and there are plenty of people on this board whose word ain't shi-.

Oh, I love this topic ... but I'm much better now.

What I love are the ones who want 49 pictures, discuss how you've polished the ball, what oil patterns you've used it on, how you scored, what your style is, then try to chew you down on the price, discuss the 49 different ways to ship it, make you price all the shipping options, 2 days, 3 days, 7 weeks, insured, not insured, then tell you they'll get back to you in a week after they sell their 49' sloop and their rolex to buy the now $25 ball that you probably could have gotten $65 for from Ebay.

Do you ever hear from them again? NO!

Meanwhile 3 other people want to the ball you're holding. After the week goes by that the low life, pond scum has given you, you contact the other 3 and none of them want it cause they've all bought other balls!

And people wonder why I'm occasionally  ... testy?

I never sell, only buy, can relate to the frustration though.  Sure hope you guys take us poor folks into consideration and keep offering equipment for sale.  Sure there are going to be guys that back out of deals.  Ask some of the guys on here that are in sales for a living.

There's plenty of good buyers/sellers on this site.  Don't lump us all into the same category.
