I've been using a Columbia 300 MASS CHAOS and I just shot my first 800 series with it. And that brings me to a question:
Keep in mind that I'm using Doc's Elixer on it, but I'm just asking this question "as if" I WASN'T using the Elixer.
I know that the Particle balls that are kept DULL and are made to hook through out the oil, usually die and quit hooking IN the oil.
But what about this senerio:
I keep my Mass Chaos polished up, and I was wondering am I likely to see TEC Death from this? But because I DON'T rely on this ball to hook THROUGH the oil, but just to skid on the oil all the way down to the breakpoint and then unleash it's energy.
Is this polished particle ball likely to die out (if I wasn't using the Elixer) like a DULL particle ball would?
Does my question make sense? Would a polished particle still keep the backend snap/drive? I can understand a dull particle ball getting clogged with oil and refusing to hook THROUGH the oil after 80-100 games... but a polished ball, you wouldn't want it to hook IN the oil anyways, you would just want it to save up energy.
Does my question make sense? Would my polished particle ball still continue to save up it's energy over a long period of time/games? Or eventually die out and lose backend drive like the dull particle balls?

Well when a ball dies, It loses some/most of its backend hook. So the answer probably is yes.
