A question for all bowlers............Part I
« on: February 28, 2010, 08:48:25 AM »
A friend of mine----not me----has been through hell this past fall. He's told me about it. Many many things went wrong for him this fall. While normally a very good man, husband, and father to his child, his reaction to all of the stress wasn't a good one.Among the stressors was a car accident, attempted suicide of one of his parents, personal checking account hacked into, and others.
Knowing your friends,if one of them went through an extremely personal stress period.Would you forgive them a mistake???
He did something that would offend and probably make most bowlers mad.
After reading some of the responses,I'll post what he did......

He started sandbagging so he could win a little extra cash in brackets/side pots?

No way.  Give him the "ROY MUNSON" treatment and make sure he never sandbags again!

Other than that, the only thing he could to at the bowling alley that would "offend most bowlers" would be to make off with the prize fund.  Again, chop his hands off and make sure he never steals again!

Or... did he "cockblock" the moves you were putting on the waittress?  I might forgive that one, depending on what she looked like.  The hotter she is, the less likely I would be to forgive.

If it's bowling related like some of the things Shelley mentioned, most likely forgive and forget.

Has an affair with your wife, well then he is no friend, good riddance, no forgiving......

I am with you Mike. Bowling related many things or most can be forgiven. If he stole money, let USBC make sure he doesn't bowl again and then determine where you go as a friend from there.

If the later, no way, no how. A good a.. kicking is in order. Can't imagine asking this question if it were that personal.

Everybody has a bad moment or two from time to time.  But if he like, killed your dog, that's not good.
