I wasn't able to witness it (as I don't bowl regularly in Auburn, MA, except to get my equipment drilled there) but congrats to Chris G., who posts as Goof1073 for his awesome 832 series in his Thursday Knights league. They did a make up match for the holidays and he shot 276-299-257.

It's incredible to watch, that's for sure.  I had a friend shoot 837 not too long ago, that's some SERIOUS bowling.  AWESOME job Goof, all I can say is wow.

Anyways it was a fun day to say the least...shot the set with my old trusty Lightning Flash too (gotta love 5 year old "technology").  I hadn't felt that good in a VERY LONG time either.  First game I came out of a shot badly for a 3-6-9-10 in the 5th.  Second game I left a 4 pin.  Third I had a bad tap of a 7 pin in the 6th and a flat 10 in the 8th...struck out most of the way till the 4-6 in the 12th.

The best thing about the day was that I completed a goal of mine:  I got all 4 rings this year:

299 and 800, 298 shot earlier in the year and a 300 at a NEBA (also a goal)
