BTM: Nov. 2013 issue?
« on: November 02, 2013, 10:20:58 PM »
November was supposed to be the last issue. I wonder if anyone has received their subscription copy yet.

I haven't received mine either. Probably won't receive it. It's available online on their site. I hope somebody can take over the magazine because it is geared more to the bowler than Bowlers Journal.

My impression was BTM's last issue was electronic only — no hard copy was actually printed and therefore nothing to mail.

Contributor Rob Mautner set up his own site at <http://www.modern-bowling.com/>, and is now a moderator at BowlingIntel  <http://www.bowlingintel.com/forum/>. Contributor Susie Minshew has had her own site for quite some time now. Haven't heard about what others might have done.

Lets hope someone picks up all the pieces and puts out an electronic version of the BTM format. What a loss!

Thank you, RMColorado. I didn't know that.

I sent Alayne an e-mail asking about remaing subscription balances as my subscription goes through 2016. She replied stating she had a potential buyer and a deal was in the works. If you read front of October issue it stated that the cost of the magazine and running their tournaments was forcing them to discontinue. Sounds like poor business management to me taking magazine subscription money and putting it into tournaments. Hopefully someone takes it over. I have been a subscriber for 20 years and think it is the most informative bowling publication available. If I had the funds, I would consider.
