menace, bowling is a sport that u can find a lot of information online.
on youtube, u can find lots of videos of pro's doin their shots, and from all points of view. watch what they do right and try to apply it to ur game. thats of course before u find a decent coach.
i strongly recommend
-Parker Bohn III, effortless and smooth release.
-Duke, versatility and yet powerfull straight game
-Mallot, in the case u r a big guy, big Wes is a perfect example
i dont recommend a power player as example (except for Wes, well i think he doesnt put even 80% of the effort on the ball since hes big), TJ, Couch because too much backswing and hand on the ball is too hard to learn and be consistent.
i started bowling last year summer, and w/o goin to a coach, bowling only 1 league, i ended up with 192 avg with a startin avg of 160. this summer's avg was 200 and i think theres still lots of room for improvement. So, study the game, and put dedication on it.
last note before i click reply:
for myself, a 160 means lots of missed spares, a bad game means u had to fight with the lanes and couldnt get a double, thats still a 180-190 game. so u might want to check ur spare game before u can jump to why u cant put up a good and consistent score and avg

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment
When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.
