Anybody know why they chose Battle Creek this year? Sure was convenient last year in Monroe.

And While I am sure it was NICE for you.... but driving nearly 5 hours to bowl states is no fun...

they rotate it around the state to give people a chance to not have to rent hotels every single year.

Between battle creek and kalamazoo, there will be plenty of things to do after bowling.

Mainzer,

I dont think its tough to find houses that want too.....

it all comes down to who wants to bid the most to host the tournament...

I mean in all reality there is only a few places that can actually host these tournaments...   so you end up going to the same places every couple of years.

It is not just Michigan that does it.  I have bowled in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, and Virginia.  All take bids from the cities, and select the cities that have the lanes, hotels with the best pricies, and any other amenities they think the bowlers would want.

It's in Battle Creek so it can be far, far, away from Lansing right now! ;) :o ???

Actually I live in GR. Battle Creek (and Muskegon) are both somewhat convenient  just for me. But Monroe was nice because I have a lot of family and friends over that way that also bowled last year. Easier for me to travel over there than all of them coming west. Some aren't coming this year unless I open up a motel. :P  :D
