In our Monday night league, we had a game pretty well wrapped up (7th or 8th frame in the last game) and one of our guys was up on the left lane and a buddy of ours was up on the pair to our left on the right lane.  So they say, "OK we're both bowling at the same time."

Start their approaches at the same time, ball goes down the lane about the same rate.  Here comes the weird part.

Both shots kinda die.  Both hit light.  Both leave... of all things you can leave on a light hit... the 4-8.

I wouldn't think twice about a mixed 7.  Wouldn't think twice about a 10 pin.  Even an 8 pin wouldn't make me flinch.

But a 4-8?  On both lanes.  How often do you see the 4-8?  Once a month?  I just saw two of them on adjacent lanes AT THE SAME TIME!

It was strange enough I thought I should tell y'all.
