This is my second year of serious bowling. I wanted to start this year making more spares and raising my average. Well, I started sparing alot more, but my strike ball has been terrible. Not very much carry, slow ball speed, you name it. I had gotten into a bad habit of starting low and dropping my ball too early.
So, I started to experiment with things. I started staying more upright at the line on delivery, and looking farther down the lane at my mark. What a difference! My ball speed picked up, my carry is 100 percent better, and the scores are going up too.
I guess all the practice games before and after league are paying off. Just getting advice from a coach on spare shooting, and trying different things on the strike ball are turning my game around. Just wanted to share a little breakthrough in my game.
