Awesome Night
« on: February 12, 2009, 04:30:10 AM »
Last night while I was bowling at my local house a guy named Brian Marler shot 300 the first game, 300 the second game and started with the first 4 the last game. In the 5th he went a little high for a 4-7, which he spared. He then went next 5 followed by a smash 9 second ball in the 10th. He ended up missing it for a 266, but still amazing. That is the closest I have seen in person to a 900, as far as the 28 starting strikes goes. It was so amazing to watch and I couldn't help but hope that he would finish it out. How many people have been on hand for a live watch at a 900, and what was the atmosphere like?

The closest I have seen a Lefty at top 5 (youth) this past year go 300,300, front 6 7 pin spare, 279 that was amazing.

Watched a 195 average bowler go 280 ( 4 pin in the pocket), 279 ( solid 8 ), 300 for an 859 series.

The only two shots that didn't strike for him were actually very close and I have seen much worse shots than those carry, especially the solid 8 he left.

It happened again. On Monday night I watched Brian Kretzer go 300-300-258. Twice in less than a week that I have seen 600 after 2 games. Thats just nuts.
