Abralon Pads
« on: August 02, 2013, 01:08:23 PM »
I have a tournament this weekend, and don't have the time to order pads.

Is there anything you can buy at Home Depot or any home improvement store that do the same thing?

Home Depot generally sell green (600) and burgundy (320) Scotch Brite Pads.  Sometimes one of the finer pads, but it's really hit or miss.

Auto paint supply houses will generally carry Abralon pads.  Some regular auto parts stores that carry some body work supplies may also have them.  These types of places will also have Scotch Brite pads.

You can get wet/dry sandpaper in any hardware store, WalMart (automotive section), auto supply store, etc.  Grits range from 400 - 2000.  It's not as easy to use as Abralon, but serves the purpose.  --  JohnP

If you have a Pepboys near you, that could be an option since they stock some auto body products.  At the very least, they do carry Scotch Brite.
