Every once in awhile I see one of these pop up for sale here, and I actually saw one in the lanes recently.
Does anybody know anything about American Bowling Service/Nanodesu balls? I did a Google search and the only thing I came up with was a sight in Japan. They've got some interesting balls, including ones with very low RGs (2.43 and 2.45).
Here's the web site:

Nanodesu: http://www.absbowling.co.jp/products/balls/2009/nanodesu_acculine7/index.html
Just curious, thanks.

We sold bunches of them when we had our shop in Texas. The balls were very good. We carried the pearl blue and the dark purple ones. I still have a Lane Navi I use as my dry lane ball. From what I gather there is not a distributor in the US anymore. DeLaura Bros. if I remember was the distributor we got ours from. I ordered 10 cases and they were in short supply.

AFAIK, the ABS balls are or at least were produced by or through Columbia - at least until the Action series. Not sure whether this changed with the Ebonite act. I know that they pour equipment, but if I am not wrong these are just the polyester balls, not the high end stuff from the Nanodesu (used to be particle pieces, now strong reactives, many with revvy low RG cores for heavy/long oil) and Absolution lines (rather for the lighter conditions).
Did you see the English section on their website? There's also some English comment on some balls.
Personally, I might have the cahnce to get a ball directly from Japan - a friend of mine will travel home for holidays, and I got an eye on the Acculine 7, too...

I know of a bunch of Nano Blues and X's. The Blues are a particle pearl thats skid flippy and the X handles oil really well.
