ABT Nationals pattern need HELP!
« on: March 13, 2009, 01:40:57 AM »
Hey all
Here are a few questions I have about the ABT nationals pattern to be used at Sams Town in Henderson this weekend not the National one in vegas at cashman. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lanes are synthetic I don't know which kind! I throw strait mostly in the track area with medium speed and revs!
1. How long is it?
2. Where is the out of bounds for a right hander?
3. Medium or heavy oil?
4. Pearl or solid ball? Any recommendations?
5. Any thing else you might think of that I might need to know?

Although it is not a tournament condition, I bowled leagues at Sams Town for
many years.  The general conditions are very dry, can play outside very well
if you have limited hand or a lot of speed.  I quit bowling there this year
because of the lack of oil--at 62 years of age, I just couldn't throw the
ball hard enough to keep it online.  It also seemed to me that the weaker
your release, the better the scores.  But I don't know anything about what
the tournament conditions will be.  I don't remember anyone throwing any-
thing but polished.

Flatter 38-39, hook in the middle with hang to the right.  It will start pretty heavy and then most likely break down to something like reverse block.

Will you be playing today, Red-Lake? I'll probably be in the 12:30 squad. See you there and good luck!
