Highest Losing Score
« on: February 01, 2014, 08:16:33 AM »
A few nights ago, I won my match in league play 813-806 and swept the guy I was facing. Probably not too often you seen 2 guys bowl 800 at each other, but even less likely that one guy gets swept in match points while shooting 800. Has anyone ever seen this before? Or can top it?

I don't remember the exact score but our anchor once shot 80x and the other anchor shot 81x. Our anchor tied one game for 1/2 match point.

I once shot 300 and lost with handicap to a 301.

I don't know about swept, but we have a scratch league here in town that is 3 man teams, and on one pair, just 6 bowlers, there were 2 300s and 3 800s, and 2 of the 800s bowled each other.  Your situation is crazy though.  Swept, and only beat him by 7 for series?  That's insane.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

September 2008 I shot 300 and tied my opponent. Neither of us won or lost.

Ditto. Although my 300 tie happened in 2006. It was probably the most intense match in memory.

I had number 12 wrap a 10 to lose a match 299-300 earlier this year too, but that's still some crazy stuff.

In college, my team lost 1213-1288 to a Saginaw Valley team that had Bill O'Neill and Anthony LaCaze on the same squad.  LaCaze was actually the low man on the team with a 220, their 4th bowler had 290, and O'Neill had 299.  At one point, everyone on their team had a 5 bagger together.  The most insane thing I've ever seen.

I bowled in a four player mixed league while I was in college.  One night we won all four points by a total of three pins.  --  JohnP

I've seen a scratch 300 lose before. Handicap league of course.

Bowled next to a Lefty vs Lefty 300-299..  Lefty 1 struck out first for 300...  Lefty 2 left a 10 pin to lose by 1...
