action attack cover change
« on: December 08, 2008, 06:28:50 AM »
has anyone changed the coverstock on the Action Attack, sanding, polishing and so on? just wandering how it worked out, haven't done it yet but looking into it, thanks.

I had the Action Attack before and did it both 2000 dull and polished. The 2000 dull finish gives it a very strong midlane roll and excellent carry. With the polish the Attack was still strong but gave it more of an angular move off the backend, often times giving me an over/under reaction. Because of my revs and ball speed, I didn't like the polish on it very much.

I've tried it both ways... sanded you will get more of a midlane roll.  I had mine at 4000 sanded and loved it.  Shot plenty of good scores with it.  I then tried 2000 polished which is where it is now.  Tends to get very angular if the backends are clean.  I often switch to this when my Rival starts to go through the nose.  This provides a little extra length, and just a tad more angle to kick out those pesky corners.
