Adult / Junior Version of the Junior Tournaments I run
« on: January 26, 2009, 04:41:36 PM »
So, as some of you know, I started a new junior tournament here in the St. Louis, MO area called the "Midwestern Junior Tournaments." We've had two tournaments thus far. The tournaments have been held on PBA Conditions.

Basically, the main focus on this tournament is to give junior bowlers the experience of bowling in a professional tournament, giving them as much professional experience possible. I've also worked to get as much scholarship put into the tournament as I can.

On April 11th, 2009, I'm going to have an adult/junior version of my tournament where the adults bowl, and qualify, the same way as the junior bowlers do. Top 8 of the adult bowlers will be paired up with the top 8 junior bowlers after qualifying, 1st with 1st, 2nd with 2nd, etc, in bracket-style match play. Unlike most adult/junior tournaments, the adults will be paid cash in the same 1:3 ratio as the junior bowlers. The entry fee is only $40 before Wednesday, April 8th. If the entry is paid on, or after April 8th, there will be a $10 late fee charged. Brackets will also be available. This is a one day tournament.  The tournament will be held on a Kegel Pattern that we are determining later this week.  There is a link on the facebook page to the pattern that is looking will likely be the pattern put down.

All the information can be found here:

I would like to see a lot of the adult bowlers show up just so that the kids can have a chance to bowl doubles with some of you.  Also looking for more junior bowlers that would be interested.  Our schedule is up on www.mjtbowling.com

It is my understanding that in this singles style competition, if ANY COMPETITOR IS TO RECIEVE CASH, then the youth competitors must fill out/sign the rule 400 prize waiver.
