THS Question
« on: August 20, 2005, 08:31:15 AM »
Just curious how many of you have league conditions with heavy oil or out of bounds say outside of 5 or 6 board? How many bowl on a shot that gets drier the farther outside of 10 board with no out of bounds oil? In my area every since the 3 or 5 units of oil requirement was put into effect, we have had a big OB in every house I bowl in. That limits the strike line you can play, but worse yet makes converting some of the right side spare combinations much more difficult.(I'm a righty) Just curious if this is normal throughout the U.S. or just my area.

The league i bowl on has a small out of bounds, 1-4ish on both sides of the lanes, but the Track area is lighter than the center so its still a little wally , but it does make converting simple right side spares harder, often having to throw it straight at them, making it near impossible to convert the 3,6,9,10.

My summer league was a little slick outside of 5. I had the best luck playing straight up 7. Right side spares are a little tough for a few of the crankers, but I did OK (stroker).

My house seems to lay down a solid block of Medium-Light oil, there is never oil from the 7 board out on either side. Not your common THS, then I guess it no longer is a THS.
