I was wondering, if I had a ball drilled stacked leverage for a lefty ( pin beside ring finger directly over cg which is on the midline, NO weight hole) and just plugged the thumb and redrilled with it like it is, what would it do for a righty?
I got a v2dry from leebowl (a lefty) which is in great shape. I was going to plug it and do a complete redrill, but when I took it in to the shop the kid that works there was curious and wanted to throw it. He is righty, but the ball fit him close enough that he could throw it without working on it.
Like I said, it is drilled lefty stacked leverage, and it is a v2dry, but this kid went out and hooked the dang thing 25 BOARDS! Yes, he's got pretty good revs, and hits the ball good, but I sure didn't expect it to do ANYTHING like it did.
Now I am thinking about leaving it with the lefty drill. The driller(not the kid) said that it should do about the same thing a righty drill would do, just later and gentler. So I am asking some of you other drillers, What do you think about it?

WOW, and I thought I wouldn't get sound advice!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to get it re-drilled to fit me, I just wanted to know what it would do if I left it with the "lefty" pin and cg positions.
Sorry I didn't make this a little plainer, just figured most people would realize what I meant.

Most of your reaction is going to be determined by your PAP in relation to the pin.
For most RH bowlers placing the pin in your track is going to make the ball go very long and it will smoothen out the backend reaction some. I have drilled a few balls like this for righties, and they got their desired reactions for dry lanes----OR lanes was extreme wet/dry.
hope this helps

I have a ball drilled with the pin in the track(next to fingers. This ball is very long with only a small arc on the backend.Carry is good, but similiar reaction to a plastic ball.
Ideal drilling for toast.

I've got two balls drilled for righties that except for matching my span.
and pitches I left alone.
One is now 5 1/2 X 7 for me and is very long and straight and pretty even.
The other is drilled 6 X 6. Stacked over middle finger and below. This one looks really intriguing. If I don't like it since I affected core almost not at all I'll change. Very straight in heads and midlanes.
