After Almost 30 Years of On/Off Bowling I Finally Bought A...

Ball Spinner!  Innovative if you must ask.  I plan to start using it tonight.  Any tips?  It includes an instruction manual and I have grit pads from 500 to 4000.  The one thing I never thought of but it makes so much sense.  They said something about:

"Under today's lane conditions, you should strive to keep the ball as shiny as possible while maintaining desired ball reaction."

I never thought of that.  Basically they are saying a ball too shiny is FAR better than a ball that is too dull because the dull ball will hook more, hook early, hook out, and the result is far worse.

I have my ball spinner in a big rubbermaid tub. It's on a rolling rack, but it would be easy to carry too. The tub is big enough for your supplies, extension cord and the walls are tall enough to prevent any splatter.

whoa.. I do the same thing...

the old house that was built in the early 70's had a sink in the garage. I miss that house. Next to the sink was cabinets where I kept all my ball supplies and gear. to the left was my mini frig where I kept my refreshments and smoked salmon during this time of year lol....
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

Go to Walmart and get a rubbermaid  storage tub.Get one deep enough for the spinner with a ball on it to be a few inches above the ball. Then you can use it anywhere in your house.Works great for me.just throwing that out there.
+1 no splatter at all. Bonus you can carry it to your hotel  for tournaments.
Todd.

Below is my first try using this thing.  I used it last week to polish my spare ball which looks brand new now.  But this was my first time actually doing real work.  Didn't take before pics, but I had a really bad track going around the ball from the revs on dry synthetics and a lot of random scratches on the ball.  Now the ball looks great.  I went to 2000 grit on this.  No polish.  I did my Recharge too to 4000 grit and no polish.  Will see how it works this week during leagues.  Even though this is 2000 grit, it looks very similar to how it was when new (Storm claims 800 grit matte).  If it dies out on lane or hooks too much I may move up to 3000 grit or something.  Would rather not use polish on reactive balls because I think it just ruins what makes them "reactive".
