Ahh Hundreads Of Nicks On The Track. Little Help?

Damn. I came back from the South of England Open od Sunday and only just took a look at my bowling balls. The only one I used has hundreads of nicks/scratched on the exact outline of the track/flare. I fear that when I bowl on the THS the track/flare will be slightly different and hook and friction with the lane will be serverely affected? Is this true or whatever?

Indeed I was, the local house is synthetic. What caues the nicks then?

the pin deck was higher than the lane surface, the pin decks are very hard, everytime you threw the ball it hits the lip of the raised pin deck...

The wood house in England has cracks between the boards, as does any wood house. The finish breaks and the surface is rough, causing a track to be worn in your ball quite fast.

You will rarely see a track on your ball when rolling on synthetics, usless stated earlier, the splices between the panels are uneven. =:^D

Agree with T-GOD totally. I bowl in a 48 lane wood lane house that's 40 plus years old. The better the bowler, one that's accurate in repeating shots have the most nicks and scratches.

Time to buy your own ball spinner. You will not regret it.

Like Baiki said, a ball spinner would be a good investment in your case.
