Yeah, I do it all the time.
I have 5 of these Zone balls from Brunswick. They have all have a hole in the side.
I took one down to 80 grit, one at 320, and one at 600 and polished with vaseline.
The other two I didn't touch, except I soaked them in rubbing alcohol for like 20 days in the winter. One in 70% and the other in 91%.
The 91% hooks more than the 70%.
Oh, and they all turned like gray, then blue, then yellow, and then back to normal color. It was kind of like a gobstopper.
