Alleys with air-con?
« on: May 02, 2005, 08:28:17 PM »
How many of you guys got air conditioning in your home alleys?
I know all the ones near me (that I have been to) have not got it.

is it a common thing in the US to have this?

Are there any in the UK that do have it?

Most Massachusetts lanes have air conditioning, whether they throw it on for their summer leagues is another question entirely. The house that I grew up in would be naturally warm inside whether it's 10 degrees F or 100 degrees F, and when you only have the ceiling fans blowing the hot air around it's not a pleasant situation to be basking in sweat frame after frame. The house I normally bowl my summer leagues in has fantastic air conditioning, so it makes bowling during the summer a much more pleasing experience.

The Airport bowl in Heathrow has pretty good A/C, which makes the London International a joy to play on a hot August weekend, but I must admit, I dont know too many in the UK that have A/C

Here in Texas they do have A/C but whether it works or not is a different story.  That's the one reason I do not bowl leagues in the summer.  There are centers with good A?C and then some do not turn it on until late September.

We're supposed to have air conditioning, but for the past two or three summers, one particular house has had its compressor break down.  Needless to say, I'm switching houses this summer for my one league.
