most inconsistent bowler?
Tuesday- 498
Wensday-731 244-240-247
today- 486

granted the two 400s are in a house that i really dont know wtf the shot is.

Tuesday it was me, i didnt make a move, and when i did it always seemed i couldnt carry, and then i couldnt make the spare.

Wensday- this house is a wall, but i felt i actually rolled the ball good for once.Probobly the best ive ever rolled the ball. Missed the pocket 3 times (bad misses 2 splits, a washout, and 1 brooklyn that carried) and 4 7 pins. made every spare but the splits and washout.

now to today-i know i wasnt bowling good but this house lanes 1-2 lane 1 is ALWAYS drier than lane 2, but today the dryness was bad. throwing my link i had to stand 15 boards further right on lane 1 than 2 to get to the same spot down lane. but it wasnt just the lanes i threw it terrible to.

but after all this i just feel like the worlds most inconsistent bowler, One night most i misss my spot by was 5 boards today i couldnt get within 5 boards of my spot.

sorry venting off just makes me feel better to say this.

this is a good example of bowlers like to score. There are many bolwers driving the extra 30 minuets to bowl in the easier house for 1 the shots easier, and 2 the owners ardent azz holes. Whats the point for an average crappy bowler to go spend 15 dollars to bowl in a league to get frustrated?

Sun night 561
Last night 546

I've been averaging 205 on my sunday night leauge and 211 on wednesday night, then suddonly I can't do anything right. Last night I bowled better when I put my strike ball's away and just rolled my plastic ball up 5 board. Went 153 with my strike ball's, changed to polyester and shot 181 and 212.....

Do you practice at all? I know that's partially my problem right now, not practicing at all and it's starting to show because my timing is complete trash at the moment.

i work at the bowling alley, so i dont practice much as i get tired of being there.


PBA, that makes sense, i think the worst thing for me is that in the tougher house i stop "rolling" the ball and start "throwing" the ball and forcing it. Get a chance to redeem myself tomorrow will see how it goes.

i did finish bowling two handed with a plastic ball, carried 4 in a row then started to leave the 7 pin. im like a better bowler 2 handed by far.

so update on last night, guess what awesome pair im on again of 1 and 2. so first thing that happens is i go "oh shit" and followed it up with an awesome 486, finally found a good line going up the gutter but i just couldnt hit it.

480 series are not caused by poor bowling. They're caused by dumb bowling. If you cover your spares, you're at least going to have a 530. That's adding in the concession of an open frame each game. It sounds to me like what you need to do (As my mom used to say) is put on your "big girl panties", suck it up, and cover your spares.

problem is, im not leaving makeable spares, its either strike or split. and not a lot of strikes.

Oddly enough, I am going through some very similar experiences myself.  I agree with what PBA and GetOffMe10Pin said.  I am having trouble understand what the lanes are telling me, and I'm letting it kill me both upstairs and on my physical game.  So today I took it one throw at a time.  

So today during league, after 4 or 5 sets where I struggled hard and bowled pretty bad, I focused on each shot by itself.  Throw the ball, make sure I don't just go through the motions but take each shot one at a time and don't fall into any more bad habits.  Make a good shot, don't rush my feet, and my problem has been grabbing lately.  So I focused on all that and it all came together for me in a great third game.  But it was the most comfy I felt bowling in ages.  I took one frame at a time, and made sure it was quality.  I had some great strikes (crazy sloppy carry lol), and made all my single pin spares.  Two things I haven't done in a month.
