I have tried a Liberator, Hype, and Karma, and I eventually still go back to my old Stingray/C. The ball uses the same core as the Cuda/C which everyone who bowled 20 years ago can remember how great of a core that was. The Stingray/C is an amazing piece that can still beat the balls from today.

If I had to choose one today, I would try to find another Liberator...never tried a Desperado though.

I just want to clarify.  I note the statements about Urethane and Poly(Plastic?) destroying the heads?

More so than reactive? 

I have bowled after a high rev lefty throwing plastic and the shot just got longer and longer real quick(about the only time I've had my shot affected by another lefty!).  There was still head oil but a quickly sloppier break point.

BUT, I wonder about urethane?  What does it do to the heads different than a reactive?

Plastic doesn't destroy the heads. It pushes oil to the breakpoint, due to the non porous nature of it, but doesn't wreck the heads. Urethane on the other hand, I can see.

Dull urethane can pull oil off heads and deposit it in the backend.  Poly does little head depletion but does push it down hence both are bulldozers.  Reactives especially low ball surface oil monsters can pull oil off heads and thru the lane hence erasers. 

Also why teams that can play together with reactives on flatter patterns like Natl's which riggs team is great at burn a hole and create bounce room on a flatter pattern.  Teams that play together stay together.

Read Jeff Richgels aka riggs blog from today where he is bowling league (last night/Thurs.) on a higher volume short Beijing pattern with a younger player on his team with some higher rev's using a Blue Hammer.  Might put it all into perspective.
