Knee Braces
« on: December 20, 2003, 01:19:00 AM »
Hello all, I was wandering if any of you use knee braces and what kind? I was in an accident last Thursday and had my knees pinned between to cars when someone backed into me. I am not bowling currently do to this but after therapy and all(hopefully no surgery) I have a feeling I will be needing a brace. It will probably be at least another month or so but was wanting to get some ideas on the different kind of braces that are out there and which ones seems to work the best and why. Give me your opinions please. As always any help appreciated.

Thanks, cooksey

I use an ACE brand one from Wal Mart.  It is blue, has an open patella, and a reinforced section on each side (no metal).  I think it was $12.  You might chech with your physical therapist - he (she) may be able to recommend a design that may work best with your specific injury.  Sorry to hear about the accident, hope you have a speedy recovery and can get back to the lanes soon!
