AMPAC bowling bags
« on: July 18, 2011, 02:34:01 PM »
I picked up a brand new AMPAC brand 2-ball roller at a garage sale and after a few weeks using it I'm really impressed with how well-constructed this bag is, even down to the details like the pull tabs on the zippers.  This bag is way better than any KR Strikeforce bag I've used, and I've ripped several of those!

I can't find any information about this company anywhere.  Does anybody know the story on this manufacturer?

Those bags have not been sold new for years so I am betting that company is long out of business.

If you ripped several KR bags, you are the first I have know to have done that. My friend who owns a pro shop was telling me awhile back how few of those bags he ever gets back in for issues. KR bags are very well made and they stand behind there product very well with a 5 year warranty.. I have owned 4 or 5 KR bags over the years and the one issue I did have with the handle was quickly resolved with a call to KR customer service. They sent me a brand new handle for free and I wasn't the original owner of the bag. Now that is great customer service IMO.

Glad the AMPAC bag is working for you.

Thanks for the info.  Maybe I'm hard on my bags, although I have a buddy who ripped his too.  The warranty on one was great (5 years), but I didn't test it because I figured I was at fault.

In either case, I really like this new bag.

I'm not sure they are still in production! Was offered by the company that was Donkee spinner I think. Storm purchased a lot of the 3 and 4 ball rollers a few years ago and they were marketed as the Storm Pro model. SOLID construction but maybe a little to "bulky".

Use "IT" and BOWL UP A STORM!!

Yes, the bag is bigger than the standard two ball roller, although not much heavier.  I'll take the bulk for what feels like sturdier construction.
