Hardest Feat to accomplish in bowling
« on: May 13, 2010, 02:50:44 AM »
Out of these five feats (not including 900 series) which do you think is the hardest to accomplish:

1) 300 game
2) 800 series
3) convert 7-10 split
4) Average 230+ on a house shot
5) Average 210+ on a sport shot

I think it depends on the characteristics of the center you bowl in. I''''ve coverted the 7-10 three times.

Some centers seem to have "more lively" pin decks so you see pins bouncing out and across more frequently than other places where you rarely see it happen. For me the 800 series is more rare (I have only one).

I have yet to see anyone bowl well while talking on their cell phone...

The 7-10 split has been a somewhat 50/50 conversion for me in recent years. I leave it maybe 1-2 times a season and I have converted 4 in the past 3 seasons.
the odd part is I only have one big 4 conversion and I have left plenty more of those

Someone that I have bowled with has 2 292 games. It is quite embrassing. Picked the 6-9 out of a full rack twice. I feel bad for him but it is too damn funny.

I have done all of them, for me personaly, the 7-10 would be less likely to occur. the hardest imo, would be number 2.

I am going with the 800 because I haven't got there. Close but no cigar.

7-10 depends on where you bowl, the machines they use and the kick backs on the machine. I have seen the 7-10 multiple times and at one time in our center we would pick the off full racks on lanes 1&2 for fun. They rebuilt those two machines with all new kick backs and shocks and a product that I think was called super kickers. We would shoot at 10 pins and see how far up the lane it would travel. One guy brought it to the foul line. They put the regular kick backs back in the machines.

Now days the 230 may be the 220 average. I have even wondered if I should change my tournament handicap to 80% of 230. Thought about posting that idea for feed back.

Can't say on the sport. Sure it is hard, but probably getting easier as bowlers figure out the condition and what balls and drills work best.

You don't actually have to be that good. Front 5, 9/, 9/ 4 more and count 9 for 267. Do that 3 times and you're home.

This was accomplished in two different houses. The one house has a tight curtains on certain pairs. I have plenty of speed and revs. I try not to stick to one house and I try to change houses each season

Of the 5 original choices, it would almost surely be the 7-10 pickup.
