I like that the old way of thinking is beginning to give way to a better understanding of ball motion.
A pin-down ball reads the lane earlier and smooths the backend, which still can be interpreted as getting into a roll quicker. To me, it's all the same.
BJ said that the pin up reads quicker and the pin down is smoother based upon his findings. Who are we to say that this is not true for him?
