What do you think about this?
« on: July 30, 2006, 10:06:52 AM »
I sold a ball to a member and after shipping costs I cleared $22 and change. Now only 4 days after telling everyone how great the ball looks and how great a seller I am its for sale. I know its his to sell, but I gave this kid a break by only charging what he said he could afford.

I also have a young man who wants another ball I have and he wants to not spend more than $50 shipped. I wanted $58 and said I would split the difference and charge $54 shipped. Haven't heard a word since.

Since I am a retired guy who tries to give breaks to younger people on here, and not make a ton on my used stuff, I will leave my stuff on the rack rather than sell on here again and get screwed.

sounds familiar, but i have a better idea for you. instead of leaving them on the rack to get destroid or resold, find a juinior leauge(since you want to give breaks to the kids)  and look for the kids that need them, the kids with the beat @$$ 10 year old equipment, and offer it to them, they would be most greatful, and it would be more rewarding to see the gratitude in person. ive done it and it made me feel like a hero for a bit...

No good deed goes unpunished!
You should be old enough to know that by now! (no smiley face, sigh ...)
