How many weeks?

How many weeks do you need to bowl before you know your scoring trend is your normal scoring level?

Last season my 3 person league moved to a new house after the one we had been at for 30 years closed. This house favored a different type of shot than the one I prefer and presented a challenge to me. I suspected fairly quickly and after about 5 weeks for sure that my average would take a hit and I ended up the season down about 7 pins.

The league moved again this year (the league didn’t like the management at the intermediate house and it was going to be shut down at mid season and moved to a new facility 5 miles away) and just the opposite has happened. After a few weeks I knew this house had a shot in my wheel house. And now after 12 weeks (48 games) my average is higher than it has ever been.

Is this enough games to adjust my mindset on what an average night is?

I would think that an AVERAGE after 48 games is a SOLID average. You would have to have a FAIRLY large fluctuation in score to effect it at this point! I would guess that you found the RIGHT ball for the condition and have increased you average. Each week I bowl in THREE different Centers and until I find the right ball for each center .. I'm LOST! Congratulations .. hope it continues!

ABC seems to think 21 games is enough.  I would tend to agree.
