Title: another no insert question

I recently picked up a ball with no inserts and I really like the fit and feel.the only problem I have is the finger holes feel a little slick.I've tried this before but ended up going back to inserts,this time I would like to stick with it.the rest of my equipment have inserts so the feel is really different.I did shoot well with the ball once I started getting used to it and I don't think the fit is off at all.
so my question is,is there a tape that works well for this or maybe I should try some rosin?I've tried some Brunswick white tape but it just made it feel slicker.

every once in a while I will blow into my fingers just like I do if the thumb feels slippery.....
take a bit of very coarse sandpaper and rough the pad area of the fingers up?


Scribe some horizontal lines in the fingers on the pad side?

thanks for the tips,I scribed some lines in the finger holes and it feels like that's the ticket.so simple,why didn't I think of it.

Your pro shop will have a thin cork insert (almost like a thick tape) to go in the front of the finger holes.  --  JohnP

Just run some sandpaper in ur finger holes.

I have gone to no inserts for my new equipment.  I use a tool that I bought many years ago in the rubber ball days (before finger inserts came out) that was designed for just that - it gouges out grip lines in finger holes.  It looks like a small flat file that has 'teeth' cut into it on one small side.

I scribed some lines in the finger holes and it was perfect feel for me.I like the feel of no grips so much I'm considering on converting another ball where I want a more true release.one question I have is ,how about a skid/snap type ball? would it be better to keep grips in a ball where you want to promote a skid/snap reaction over a more roll release? the beauty of no grips is it won't allow you to hit it as much as grips and your true release will develop.
Just a few thoughts I have and questions I need to ask as I'm new to no grips but I feel this will improve my game.
