what should i do?
« on: March 05, 2004, 12:28:08 AM »
Ok, i just recently got to test drive 2 different bowling balls.  One was the inferno.  the span was just right and everything was perfect as far as drilling.  The ball really worked well on the conditions that night.  I also go to try out a Columbia Ego.  Span was a little long and couldn't get out of the thumbhole very clean.  Ive got someone that owes me a free bowling ball right now and I was thinking of getting the Ego but now that ive tried the Inferno im not quite so sure i want the Ego.  I can get the inferno right now for 90 bucks not drilled.  So what should i do?  go with the Inferno or the Ego.  also could you tell me what the difference in the reaction of the 2 balls would be.  im guessing that they would be about the same.  thanks in advanced for any information you give.

I'd say get the Inferno.  You already know it works on the conditions you tested it on.  Even though the span was off, how good was your look with the Ego?  If it was good and you have the money, have the guy who owes you a ball buy you the Ego, and you can buy the Inferno since it's a great price.

i actually tried the ego first.  and even though the span was long it still hit the pins very nicely and i really like the look on the ball.  rolled the ball 2 times and said that i wanted it.  but if i get and inferno and a ego would they overlap each other?  because im going to be making a new 4 ball arsonel and i kinda need them spaced out a little bit.  thanks.

I haven't thrown either, but it looks like they would overlap.  Almost identical rg and diff.  One is particle pearl and the other is an aggressive resin/pearl blend, but I would expect them to roll similarly.
