Kinovea is Free. It is pretty good. Only works on PC.

Kinovea is okay if your trying to do motion analysis (Though it can have a hard time tracking a ball going down the lane.)

If you mean just video editing, it depends on just how fancy you want to get.

If you want simple windows Movie maker that comes on a lot of computers is okay.

Avidemux is Open source freeware and rated high or VirtualDub.

I'd eventually like to get to where Justin Wi is.  That's the goal anyway.
