No oil track on bowling balls
« on: May 03, 2004, 04:12:27 AM »
I've been paying close attention to my bowling balls after they have been thrown down the lane. For some reason, my bowling balls seldom have any oil on it when it comes back. I know the lanes aren't burnt either, as all of the balls my friends throw, who bowl on the same lane come back with a huge "oil ring". Another thing I noticed was that my "track" seems to be 2-3 inches away from my finger holes. Does this mean I have a low axis rotation?

Yes, I have noticed that I begin turning the ball a little too early, causing me to lose revs. That's something that I definitely need help on.

About the lane surfaces, I mentioned that my friends bowl on the same lane as I do. But for some reason, their balls come back soaked, and my balls are always completely dry.
