This one broke a nice string I had going too.  My first game last night, I was throwing the ball ok, had a strike, then 3 spares.  My shoulders were too square and I wasn't projecting it well.  Figured that out, then struck 3 times in the 5th, 6th and 7th.  Forgot my shoulders in the 8th again and went high, leaving a 3-6-10.  I had 152 in the 7th, I believe, working on that spare in the 8th when I got up to throw 9.  Great shot when I let go of it.  Felt great, looked great.  When it hit the pocket, it was one of those shots where it was driving and all the pins went off the deck to the left standing up.  When I saw the 10, that was bad enough, but then I saw the 8 pin still trying to hang on.  It was spinning like crazy and still moving to the left off the deck when it just . . stopped and wobbled.  It was still wobbling when the rack put it (with the 10, remember) back down.  I've seen flat 8-10's and I've left them, but I have NEVER seen an 8-10 left by anyone using a 16 LB BALL!!  When I looked back at my teammates, I saw a bunch of mouths wide open, and even the other team was wowing at it.  

That gave me 179 in the 9th.  My streak I had going was 15 consecutive league games over 200.  You figure everyone has a bad game now and then, but I've been keeping the ball in play and picking up my spares, so hitting 200+ every game for two weeks so far is a nice reward.  Well, the right lane was already burning, and when I got back there for my 10th, I forgot my shoulders again.  Didn't project it, right through the nose for the big 4.  The real burner was that two other teammates opened in the 10th, and we lost the game by 5 pins.  I was PISSED.

However, I then shot 247-245 my last two games, only leaving a couple 10's and a 7 or two (think I had a 7 or 8 count on my fill ball the last game though).  Both games I could have struck out for 260-something, but left wrap 10's on my 10th shot both times.  So the streak ended, but I'm liking throwing a 16 again, and I'll take another 600 to at least keep that streak alive too.  I think the 200 streak is more impressive, but hopefully I can get that back on track now with those two strong games to finish out my league week.
