I start left foot on 30 ending left foot 26 target 15.
Depending on where on the approach she starts determine where she will start.
You can also use math to figure out any line to a pin.
For example my 10 pin:
takes a path of 4 boards per 15 feet which is 19 @ line, 15 @ arrows, 11 @ 30', 7 @ 45', 3 @ 60'. I also incorporate a 4 board drift in my approach since I start 15' back from the line.
Hope this helps it is how I was taught to map out lines to single pin spares.
Edit one other thing I do is stay dirrecly behind the ball I try and feel as though my pointer finger goes right over my target.
