Anyone throw any new balls today at Bowl Expo?
Any thoughts on what you threw?

Personally: Warrior Supreme vs. Scandal. Both are fighting for a spot in my bag.

bradl,  I would lean towards the Warrior Supreme personally.  I have found the Scandal to be too strong on many occasions and it gets minimal use as a result.  The Warrior Supreme is usable for longer periods and on more conditions.  It is quite a bit stronger than the Warrior Elite for me, probably 4-5 boards overall drilled the same.

As far as hook, Warrior Supreme looked the most impressive. The Dark Legend Solid looked about 5 stronger than the original Black Widow Legend Solid. EBI has some nice rolling stuff now. The Cyborg and Widow Legend Solid looked like the biggest hook you'll be able to buy for the $199 price point..

Any comparisons of the Heat Xtreme and GB2 Phenom? It looks to me like they both might use similar covers to the Arson High Flare Solid

I'd like to know this as well, and perhaps even make it a 3-way compare with the Hammer Rebel.

All 3 look like they could work for benchmark balls.

In terms of overall hook it will be Phenom/Xtreme/Rebel.  The Xtreme Heat being my personal favorite.  The Rebel goes longer and is  by far the most angular of the 3.  I have not thrown an Arson to compare to.  The Phenom is maybe 2 boards stronger and a touch earlier than the Heat Xtreme, but both are what I would consider smooth benchmark reactions.  The Rebel will be a good step down when the others are reading too soon or if you need to create more angle downlane.

Thanks. That's right around what I was thinking.
